Teacher Grade 8 Language Arts

About the role

Teach in a K-6 setting with experience in middle school language arts or K-12 English.

Responsibilities

• Work with children and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Use technology to enhance lessons and manage administrative tasks.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
• Work one-on-one with teachers and provide support as needed.

Requirements

• Hold a N.J. Instructional certificate K-6 with middle school language arts or K-12 English.
• Have a valid driver's license with no serious violations.
• Show excellent integrity and good moral character.
• Demonstrate knowledge of child growth and development and its relation to learning.
• Show competency in instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment, and research.
• Show enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to connect with students and colleagues.
• Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Pass the State required Mantoux Intradermal Tuberculin Test.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• Criminal record check from the Department of Education or a sworn statement of non-conviction.
• Health clearance to perform job functions.
