About the role

Exciting, rewarding and challenging opportunities for highly-skilled individual who posses the ability to integrate academic and social needs of elementary level students into their teaching and learning on a daily basis. Individual must be innovative, creative and be skilled in the use of effective instructional strategies to demonstrate growth of all students. Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of national, state and local standards and have the ability to personalize these standards through instruction to all students in all subject areas. A positive, enthusiastic, dynamic classroom atmosphere is desired embedding the Cheshire Performance Standards. Skilled integration of technology as a tool for teaching and learning is required.

Qualifications

Connecticut Teaching Certificate #001, #002, #004, #005, #013, #305 or the ability to qualify, with appropriate endorsement(s), and expertise in curriculum sub-areas.

Benefits

Children of a teacher who does not reside in Cheshire may attend the Cheshire Public Schools so long as the teacher continues to teach in Cheshire and pays 50% of the published regular education tuition cost, plus any additional costs incurred by the district regarding their child.

Salary In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and the Education Association of Cheshire.
