TEACHER - GRADE 3

About the role

Arlington Elementary School is seeking a Grade 3 teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate believes that all students are capable of learning.

Responsibilities

• Teaching core content classes in a self-contained classroom/homeroom: ELA(CKLA), Mathematics(Envisions), Science, and Social Studies
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Attending IEP, 504, student support, and team meetings
• Participating in grade-level and content vertical planning meetings
• Participating in schoolwide positive behavior support protocols
• Knowledge of early childhood development and best instructional practices
• Willingness to reflect on practice and implement feedback
• Collaborative planning, especially with co-teaching and inclusion practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• Valid Massachusetts DESE teaching license SEI (Sheltered English Immersion) endorsement required
• Experience teaching in urban public school settings preferred
• Successful completion of all pre-employment requirements
• U.S. citizenship, residency, or valid work authorization required
