About the role

The Teacher English General position at Huntington North High School is responsible for providing instruction in English language arts to students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Instruct students in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literature.
• Evaluate student progress through various assessments and provide feedback.
• Maintain accurate records and report grades as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Education or related field.
• Valid teaching license in Indiana.
• At least two years of successful teaching experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with technology literacy tools such as keyboarding, email, word processing, and internet.
• Knowledge of current educational theories and practices.
