Teacher; Elementary; Third Grade (Leave Replacement 2026-27)
Contract type: Leave Replacement (1.0 FTE) – Grades 3. Anticipated start date: October 22, 2026. Anticipated end date: April 9, 2027.
About the Role
The certificated teacher, supported by building and district leadership, fosters a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. Using Washington State standards and district-adopted curriculum, the teacher delivers high-quality, differentiated Tier I instruction tailored to diverse learner needs. Collaborating with colleagues, they analyze student data to identify students needing Tier II supports and provide targeted interventions. The teacher also communicates progress with families, builds positive relationships, and actively contributes to the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports to ensure equitable outcomes for all students.
Requirements
- Valid Washington State certificate with appropriate endorsement required (students may submit a note stating when certificate is expected).
Pay
Salary: $68,707 - $135,620 per year (2025-26 SVEA Salary Schedule; 2026-27 salary range TBD). Based on 1.0 FTE.

Benefits are administered by the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) under the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB). Eligibility is determined by anticipated hours worked during the school year (September 1 through August 31). Employees scheduled to work 630 hours or more in a year are eligible for benefits.
