TEACHER, ELEMENTARY - KINDERGARTEN-8TH GRADE
About the role
TEMPORARY ONLY: AUGUST 1, 2026 - JUNE 4, 2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Teaches appropriate grade level standards based curriculum in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies and Personal Development to diverse elementary students, following District Literacy Program and Everyday Math or other school/District approved curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
- Makes sure students follow school and District rules and policies.
- Monitors and reports on student behavior and academic progress.
- Presents lessons using various methods and materials.
- Prepares and administers tests and assignments.
- Communicates with parents and colleagues about student issues.
- Participates in extra-duty activities as outlined in the Teachers’ Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- A Master's Degree is required for Concurrent Enrollment positions.
- Has a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
- Lives and works with a permanent home address in Colorado.
- Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
