TEACHER - ELEMENTARY

About the Role

Arlington Elementary School is seeking an elementary teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate believes that all students are capable of learning. Experience with co-teaching and inclusion practices, including collaborative planning, is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Teach core content classes in a self-contained classroom/homeroom: ELA (CKLA), Mathematics (Envisions), Science, and Social Studies
• Apply knowledge of early childhood development and best instructional practices
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Use instructional technology effectively
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Reflect on practice and implement feedback
• Attend IEP, 504, student support, and team meetings
• Participate in grade-level and content vertical planning meetings
• Participate in schoolwide positive behavior support protocols

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• Valid Massachusetts DESE teaching license
• SEI (Sheltered English Immersion) endorsement required
• Experience teaching in urban public school settings preferred
• Successful completion of all pre-employment requirements
• U.S. citizenship, residency, or valid work authorization required

Pay

$61,788 - $94,614
