About the role

The Blackstone Community K-6 School is seeking a Dual Language [Spanish]/Early Childhood Teacher for a long-term position starting September 16, 2026, and ending November 30, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary in a Dual Language Setting
• Create an interdisciplinary course of study integrating reading, writing, and analytical skills development aligned with state curricular frameworks.
• Implement district learning goals and objectives using district-supported curriculum.
• Create a developmentally appropriate, child-centered environment establishing positive student behavioral expectations through structured routines and positive behavioral interventions.
• Establish classroom structure valuing positive relationships through intentional curriculum implementation.
• Administer district mid-year and end-of-year assessments in accordance with district guidelines.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
• Hold a Massachusetts Teaching License in Elementary 1-6 and a Bilingual Education Endorsement.
• Meet all state and federal guidelines for full licensure and high qualification.
• Ability to work in the United States.
• Preferred: Experience teaching in urban schools, Dual certification in ESL, Degree in Education, Fluent in one of BPS' official languages.
