Responsibilities

Requirements
- Valid and appropriate teaching certificate and endorsements for Washington State.
- Certification or be certifiable in Career and Technical Education (CTE) areas.
- Pass the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) with a minimum score of 4.0 and the EIPA written test with a passing score.
- Have a National Interpreter Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and the EIPA written test with a passing score.
- Have a valid and appropriate teaching certificate and endorsements for Washington State.
- Meet the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act.
- Ability to implement programs leading to industry certifications for students.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain effective classroom management.
- Show the ability to successfully employ effective teaching methods.
- Show a demonstrated desire and ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Previous successful teaching experience at the grade level/subject preferred.
- Understanding of Common Core State Standards.
- Demonstrate the ability to use a variety of instructional strategies and methods appropriate for student learning needs.
- Ability to integrate technology with the curriculum.
- Show problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Show the ability to organize ideas, time, and materials to accomplish goals.
- Show the ability to work collaboratively and plan with other staff members through Professional Learning Communities.
- Show a desire and willingness to continue to learn and pursue professional development.
- Show enthusiasm, flexibility, and a commitment to high learning standards.
- Show willingness to accept extracurricular assignments.
