About the role
The Teacher - Child Development position at Georgetown Elementary School is under the supervision of the Director or designee. The role involves providing an engaging and secure learning environment where children can expand their knowledge and skills through various experiences and interactions, forming a foundation for school readiness and later school success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with state standards.
- Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social-emotional growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to support children's holistic development.
- Assess children's progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field with a valid Child Development Site Supervisor Permit.
- A minimum of three years recent experience in Early Care and Education Programs.
- Knowledge of child development, family interaction, and community resources is desired.
- Associate of Arts degree in Child Development or related field may be considered with an Educational Plan to complete a Bachelor’s Degree within two years.
Qualifications
- A combination of formal education, life experience, and work experience are considered when evaluating qualifications.
- Must meet Title 22 licensing standards.

Pay
Salary range: $41,420 - $66,682 annually. Additional salary based on education and experience.
Schedule
