Qualifications

• Hold a New Jersey Instructional Certification
• Must be knowledgeable of NJSLS, WIDA, and mandated state testing
• Excellent experience teaching and working with various grade level students
• Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of teaching English as a second language, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis and research related to learning and children needing to learn English as a second language
• Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community
• Demonstrate the ability to use technology and technological devices to enhance lessons, as well as for word processing, data management, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
• Successful implementation of instructional strategies
• Must be computer literate
• Highly motivated result-driven educator
• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
• Pending budget availability
