About the role
The Children's Guild empowers children, families, and communities to thrive in school and beyond. We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide direct, one-on-one support to students with special needs, helping them succeed in the classroom through individualized care and education.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement IEPs based on student data using differentiated strategies
- Participate in meetings, PLCs, and ongoing supervision as part of a collaborative team
- Apply experience with multi-tiered systems such as PBIS and restorative practices
- Maintain regular communication with parents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or higher degree (experience in special education preferred)
- At least 1 year of experience working with students with special needs or autism
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed
