Teacher Assistant Special Education

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
• Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs
• Help students with daily tasks, such as eating, dressing, and using the restroom
• Monitor student progress and behavior, and communicate observations to the lead teacher
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with individuals with special needs preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
• Passion for helping students with special needs succeed
