About the role
Oswego Community Unit School District 308 seeks a Special Education Teacher Assistant to support students with specialized needs.
Responsibilities
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and health/hygiene needs as directed by Special Education Teachers
- Assist students in achieving their goals and reaching their highest potential
- Apply best practices for working with children and young adults with specialized needs
- Perform tasks requiring the ability to lift and move up to thirty pounds without assistance or assist with lifting and moving up to fifty pounds
- Hold a license with the Illinois State Board of Education

- Knowledge or ability to obtain knowledge of best practices for working with children and young adults with specialized needs
- Ability to apply general written and verbal guidance to specific work situations
