Location: East Side Elementary. Chambliss Center for Children is hiring caring and energetic Teacher Assistants to work in a one-of-a-kind childcare program located inside Hamilton County Schools. These classrooms serve children from infants to Pre-K and allow the schools to offer onsite childcare to their staff with young children.

Pay

From $11/hour with a high school diploma and limited experience. Starting pay increases based on education and classroom experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM (part-time, mid-day).

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older with at least a high school diploma or GED
• Able to pass a fingerprint background check
• Experience in early childhood education is a plus
• Team player with a love for working with children and families

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children during all activities
• Help plan and lead fun, learning-based activities
• Keep the classroom clean and organized
• Work closely with other staff, parents, and volunteers
• Watch for children's health needs and respond appropriately
