About the role

190-day position for the 2026–2027 school year. A negative TB test result must be on file prior to starting work. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.

Pay

$21,874 base salary (based on education and teacher assistant experience).

Qualifications

• Minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education
• OR an associate degree (or higher)
• OR a high school diploma (or the equivalent) AND Ready to Work Credentials WIN — copy of WIN Assessment (minimum Level 3 certification)
• OR a high school diploma (or the equivalent) AND ParaPro — copy of passing score (minimum 456) on the state-approved academic assessment
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom teaching assistance
• Provide supervision of students at all times
• Maintain a positive classroom environment
• Provide students with daily care (e.g., toileting, diapering, feeding, etc.) as needed or required
• Adhere to district dress code policies
• Maintain required confidentiality in regard to students and school records
• Positively support all facets of student growth and development
• Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds
• Perform other duties as assigned
