Teacher Assistant (ERI)

About the Role
The Patient Services Associate (PSA) is a key member of the healthcare team responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families. The PSA serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner
- Register patients, verify insurance information, and collect co-pays
- Schedule appointments, answer phones, and respond to patient inquiries
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with patient flow and communicate delays to patients
- Prepare and maintain patient records and charts
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient transitions
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the healthcare team
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 1+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR)
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Pay
Negotiated annual salary range for this position is $31,322 to $52,125. Salaries for internal applicants will be based on union negotiated calculations.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week. This position requires availability to work evenings and weekends as needed. Specific schedule will be determined based on operational needs.
