Teacher's Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Help shape and develop a school-wide culture that fosters a productive and enthusiastic learning environment for each student.
- Assist in the educational development of students under the direction and guidance of the classroom teachers.
- Participate in lesson practice and delivery of our adopted Curriculum.
- Prepare materials for lessons, demonstrations, and bulletin boards.
- Operate equipment including computers, printers, photocopiers, and laminators.
- Ensure that students have all materials necessary for class activities.
- Work with students individually or in small groups for extension or remediation.
- Provide extra help as needed to students with physical, mental, or linguistic limitations.
- Cook with students with assistive devices and supportive technologies when needed.
- Coordinate with classroom teachers to determine daily tasks.
- Adhere to accommodations in students’ SSPs and 504 plans.
- Lead activities designed to foster students’ mental, physical, and social development.
- Active supervision of students in various settings including classrooms, playgrounds, and field trips.
- Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system that aligns to campus-wide initiatives while developing students’ character and sense of community in the classroom.
- Enforce school rules and policies as well as assigned teacher’s protocols and procedures.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences as requested by teachers.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions.
- Communicates appropriately with parents and staff and refers all parent questions and concerns pertaining to students to the teacher.
- Treats confidential information about students, staff, and school affairs in a professional and ethical manner.
- Must be punctual and on time for work.

- Use verbal and written language correctly.
Minimum Qualification
- A High School Diploma/GED.
- Received Safe Environment Training and signed the Code of Conduct.
- FBI Fingerprint clearance completed.
