Teacher Assistant

About the role

This position involves assisting teachers in a free public charter school located in North Salt Lake, Utah. The school focuses on high academic achievement with advanced classes from first through sixth grade, emphasizing individual growth and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in classroom management and lesson preparation
• Support students with special needs and provide additional academic support
• Participate in service-learning projects and daily Spanish language instruction
• Work under the direction of a certified teacher

Requirements

• Pass the PRAXIS exam, or hold an associate's degree (or equivalent credits towards a bachelor's degree)
• Previous teaching experience may be considered favorably
• Pass a background check in accordance with Utah's Department of Public Safety requirements
