About the role

Support children (ages 3-5) with special needs in a year-round developmental preschool program. Work as part of an amazing team to make learning exciting. Provide a nurturing positive learning environment and share your own interests and talents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting children with developmental disabilities in a preschool setting
• Collaborate with a team to create and maintain a positive learning environment
• Incorporate personal interests and talents to enhance the learning experience

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience working with children (preferably children with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges)
• Must successfully complete required screening: Level II background check, physical, and drug screen
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Physical abilities to bend, lift, stand, squat, walk, run, balance, reach, kneel, pull, and push while working with children and adolescents
• Documented verification of completion of the 40-hour childcare training mandated by the state of Florida (if completed any coursework or exams). If not initiated, must begin within 90 days of employment and complete within one year
