Teacher Assistant (5K) / Lamar-Spaulding Elementary School

190-day position at Lamar-Spaulding Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. FLSA status: Non-Exempt.

Pay

$21,874 base salary (based on education and teacher assistant experience).

Qualifications

• Minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education or an associate degree (or higher), or
• High School Diploma or equivalent and one of the following:
  • Ready to Work Credentials: WIN Assessment – minimum Silver: Level 4 or higher, or
  • ParaPro: passing score (minimum 456) on the state-approved academic assessment.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom teaching assistance.
• Provide supervision of students at all times.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Provide students with daily care (e.g., toileting, diapering, feeding) as needed or required.
• Adhere to district dress code policies.
• Maintain required confidentiality regarding students and school records.
• Positively support all facets of student growth and development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
