Location: Sand Springs Elementary. Position will remain open until filled.
About the Role
Under the supervision of the principal or other supervisor, the teacher assistant assists the teacher with the conduct of a class. This is a 3rd grade classroom teacher assistant position and will provide behavior support to specific students.
Schedule
5.2 hours per day / 174 days per year.
Pay
Salary Grade 3: $17.24 per hour (2026-27 Support Salary Table). Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase.
Responsibilities
- Prepare class materials
- Correct and record assignments
- Provide a wide variety of other services to support classroom instruction
- Deliver behavior support to specific students
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience
- The equivalent of two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education; or an associate's degree; or the ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Secretarial/clerical skills, including ability to operate a computer (may be required)
