Teacher- Art (Anticipated)
About the role
Provides instruction and is responsible for student learning in a particular time period in art education.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging visual arts instruction aligned with curriculum standards for K12 students.
- Foster creativity and artistic skill development through lessons in drawing, painting, sculpture, and other media.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of achievement and growth.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that encourages artistic expression and respect for materials and tools.
- Collaborate with colleagues, participate in school events, and contribute to student exhibitions, displays, and school-wide art programs.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) educator certificate with an endorsement in one or more of the following endorsement areas: 042 (PK-12).
- Preferred Requirements: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.
