Teacher and Sales Associate
About the role
Gymboree instructors facilitate parent-child classes, music, art, and preschool sessions, as well as birthday parties. The role requires engaging children and parents through various activities and teaching social, emotional, and physical skills.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate parent-child interactive activities, including Gymboree classes, music classes, arts classes, and additional programs like Gymboree on the Go and Baby Signs®.
- Teach a minimum of two birthday parties per month.
- Lesson plan according to Gymboree curriculum.
- Be responsible for knowing and achieving sales goals.
- Use features and benefits of Gymboree to provide information and sell enrollments, merchandise, birthday parties, and special events to new and existing customers.
- Answer incoming calls, make outbound calls, greet and service customers.
- Assist with off-site grassroots events.
- Work with Care, our online database management system.
- Attend designated staff meetings and trainings.
- Maintain site standards, including cleaning, stocking, and pricing merchandise, and helping with equipment set changes.
Requirements
- Experience working with children newborn to 5 years old preferred.
- Solid group leadership skills.
- Beginning computer skills.
- Phone skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Team player.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. and move play equipment.
- Clean, physical appearance.
- Flexible.
- Outgoing, enthusiastic, gregarious, creative.

Details TBD, but Gymboree Play & Music provides all necessary training.
Schedule
This position is ideal for someone looking for a part-time, long-term job (at least a year commitment). Saturday or Sunday availability is required. Approximately 15 - 30 hours per week.
