Teacher and Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Facilitate parent-child interactive activities.
• Teach three core programs: Gymboree classes, Music classes, and Arts classes.
• Teach a minimum of two birthday parties per month.
• Lesson plan according to Gymboree curriculum.
• Be responsible for knowing and achieving sales goals.
• Use features and benefits of Gymboree to provide information and sell enrollments, merchandise, birthday parties and special events to new and existing customers.
• Answer incoming calls, make outbound calls, greet and service customers.
• Affiliate with off-site grassroots events (e.g., Gymboree Retail Store).

Requirements

• Experience working with children newborn to 5 years old is preferred.
• Solid group leadership skills.
• Beginning computer skills.
• Phone skills.
• Customer service oriented.
• Team player.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. and move play equipment.
• Clean, physical appearance.
• Flexible.
• Outgoing, enthusiastic, gregarious, creative.

Qualifications

Life experience, leadership skills, dependability, and personality count just as much as previous work experience. Retail Sales and Customer Service experience is a plus.

Schedule

Part-time available. Flexible schedule required; classes held weekdays, evenings and weekends. Must be willing to travel to both of our locations - San Dimas and Upland.
