Specific Responsibilities
- Assists the teacher with the preparation of materials.
- Assists students with behavioral/management needs.
- Assists in crisis intervention for students.
- Assists in the set up of equipment as needed in the science lab, computer lab, home and careers lab, gymnasium, and in the classrooms.
- Provides direct supervision of students in all areas of the school.
- Assists the teacher in completing students' point sheets.
- Responsible to record information regarding behavior time aways and passes on the back of the point sheet.
- Complete the following reports when necessary: informationals, behaviorals, and incident reports.
- Provide communication to members of the crisis team regarding any behavior requiring intervention.
- Responsible to monitor the attendance of all students assigned to their class.
- Maintain classroom logs.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- Attend all training provided by the school's Principal for this position.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Acceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, Driver license and fingerprinting as required by the program.
- Compliance with health regulations for physical/mantoux testing.
- Attending TCI class for certification/re-certification and passing a test upon completion of course is a minimum requirement for employment.
