Teacher - 5th Grade (Temporary) - WCE

Temporary contract for the 2026/27 school year (185 days). Full-time position at William Collier Elementary.

Responsibilities

• Teach 5th grade curriculum in accordance with California state standards.
• Support English learners using authorized EL strategies (CLAD, BCLAD, CTEL, or SDAIE).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with English Learner authorization (CLAD, BCLAD, CTEL, or SDAIE).
• Submission of the following documents via EdJoin:
  • Completed EdJoin application.
  • Letter of interest.
  • Three current professional letters of reference dated within the last 12 months.
  • Resume.
  • Copy of California credentials (or equivalent) showing Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with EL authorization.
  • Copy of transcripts.
  • Copy of test scores.
  • Detailed CTC document delineating credential and EL authorization.
• Compliance with AB2534 / SB 848: disclosure of all previous employment with school districts, county offices of education, charter schools, private schools, or state special schools, regardless of length of service (including part-time and substitute work).

Pay

Salary range: $57,704 to $139,342, dependent on qualifications and experience. Maximum entry-level salary: $121,895. Up to 12 years of service credit may be applied.
