Teacher 2026-2027, Elementary Reading Interventionist, EMERY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university
• Valid Texas Certification for EC-6 or EC-4 (Standard, Provisional, or One-Year certificates only; ACP candidates on a probationary certificate do not qualify)
• Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as an elementary classroom teacher preferred
• Strong experience with at-risk / small group reading intervention and instruction
• Excellent classroom management

Terms of Employment

Probationary/Term Contract: 187 days. Salary $64,206/IA-3 Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year.

• Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function

Working Conditions

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
