Teach to Lead

What You'll Be Doing:

• Perform the classroom duties of an absent teacher, including the following:
  • Prepare & execute course of study
  • Manage the classroom so that curriculum guidelines/requirements are fulfilled
  • Lecture, demonstrate, and use appropriate teaching aids to present subject matter to the students
  • Prepare, administer &/or correct assignments & tests
  • Record grades, attendance, academic achievement
  • Assist as directed by the building administration (Including clerical, cafeteria, bus duties.)

To Be Successful at This Job, You'll Need To:

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university
• Must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
• Must hold a Valid Content Substitute Certificate or be willing to obtain one prior to hire date.
• Must pass the pre-employment background investigation.
• Must commit to working towards completing a teaching certification including Pathway Meetings | Mentorship | Check-In
• Experience working with youth

• Length of work year: 185 days; 8 hours/day
