The Learning and Technology Consultant

Position Title: Teach, Learn, & Tech Spec II

Department: The Center for Advancing Student Learning (CASL)

Compensation: $57,500 - $67,500/annually

• Key Responsibilities Include:
• Technical Support: Provide hands-on assistance with learning technologies (Canvas, Zoom, Kaltura) and assistive tools (screen readers, captioning software); troubleshoot technical and accessibility issues; support effective use of instructional technologies across modalities; and respond to Neurons support tickets with timely, effective resolutions.
• Accessibility & Compliance: Design, develop, and remediate instructional materials to meet accessibility standards (including WCAG); conduct accessibility audits and testing; and ensure alignment with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
• Resource Creation: Develop and maintain digital accessibility training materials including guides, reference manuals, online modules, and templates to support faculty and staff.
• Consultation & Training: Provide one-on-one coaching, lead workshops, and create training resources focused on best practices in digital accessibility and instructional technology.
• Knowledge Maintenance: Stay current with UDL principles, accessibility regulations, and emerging trends in instructional technology across in-person, blended, and online learning environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
• Two years of experience with a university Learning Management System (LMS).
• Three years of customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Higher Education Administration, Education Technology, or a related field.
• Evidence of excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated understanding or work with digital accessibility laws.
