Responsibilities

  • Perform complex financial analysis and regulatory work.
  • Compile, review, and analyze financial data.
  • Prepare summaries and respond to inquiries.
  • Conduct forensic accounting and criminal litigation support involving financial fraud and insurance fraud investigations.
  • Create exhibits for use in trials.
  • Adhere to forensic accounting policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with analysts and investigators on the direction of criminal investigations.
  • Participate in working groups and meetings.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Regular work attendance.
  • Travel may be required for up to 5% of the time. If travel exceeds 10%, a state of Texas Drivers License is required.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of state laws, rules, procedures, and regulations relevant to job requirements.
  • Knowledge of ethics and compliance.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Ability to use analytical techniques and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Skills in problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.

Skills

  • Knowledge of state laws, rules, procedures, and regulations relevant to job requirements.
  • Understanding of ethics and compliance.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Analytical techniques.
  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Statement on Standards for Forensic Services No. 1 (SSFS 1).
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
