About the role
This position reports to the Denton District Parole Office on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities
- Plans, schedules, and supervises parole officer activities
- Coordinates parole supervision
- Visits offender residences, jails, correctional facilities, courthouses, social services
- Conducts and supervises activities to monitor offender compliance with the conditions
- Performs criminal information searches and retrieval using Texas Department of Public Safety
- Supervises the work of others
- Establishes and provides training to parole officers
- Reviews and evaluates documentation and recommendations
Requirements
- Three years of full-time, wage-earning experience in criminal justice, case management, or case processing
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy and completeness
- Computer operations experience is preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Strong skills in communicating ideas and instructions clearly and concisely
- Ability to train and supervise the work of others
