About the role

This position reports to the Denton District Parole Office on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, and supervises parole officer activities
  • Coordinates parole supervision
  • Visits offender residences, jails, correctional facilities, courthouses, social services
  • Conducts and supervises activities to monitor offender compliance with the conditions
  • Performs criminal information searches and retrieval using Texas Department of Public Safety
  • Supervises the work of others
  • Establishes and provides training to parole officers
  • Reviews and evaluates documentation and recommendations

Requirements

  • Three years of full-time, wage-earning experience in criminal justice, case management, or case processing
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy and completeness
  • Computer operations experience is preferred

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Strong skills in communicating ideas and instructions clearly and concisely
  • Ability to train and supervise the work of others
