Qualifications And Requirements
- An appropriate New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) as deemed necessary by https://www.nj.gov/education/certification/certsandtitles/
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred), unless otherwise specified by the New Jersey Department of Education.
Basic Functions And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum and lesson plans for Audio and Visual Broadcast Technology
- Teach students audio and video production techniques, including camera operation, sound design, editing, and live broadcasting
- Operate and maintain broadcast equipment, including cameras, microphones, and editing software
- Develop and maintain relationships with local media professionals and organizations to provide students with industry insights and opportunities
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies, incorporating innovative techniques and software into the curriculum
- Mentor and supervise students in school productions and special events
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate broadcast technology and content into other subjects, such as journalism, marketing, and digital media
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

- Salary: $70,000 - $110,000
- Employment Period: Ten (10) Months
- Union Affiliation: Newark Teachers Union (NTU)
