Tax Winter 2028 Internship - Rochester, MN
About the role
CohnReznick is seeking Tax Winter Interns for the Winter 2028 season (approximately January through April) in the Rochester, MN office. This is a hybrid position; professionals are encouraged to be in the office together in person on average three days per week, with the exact cadence determined at the team level.
Interns join an engagement team that includes other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. The firm serves clients across a variety of industries:
- Consumer & Industrial
- Financial Sponsors & Financial Services
- Life Sciences & Healthcare
- Public Sector
- Real Estate
- Renewable Energy
- Technology & Media
- Private Client Services (varies by office)
The Rochester office offers a modern environment with amenities and collaborative spaces. Responsibilities
- Work on a variety of client deliverables including preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
- Identify potential tax issues and prepare tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances.
- Assist the team with daily client workflow.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- On track to complete 150 credit hours for CPA eligibility.
- Minimum 3.2 GPA in both major and overall.
- Leadership experience in student groups, activities, or team projects.
- Excellent communication skills and sharp critical thinking.
- Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments and embracing change.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Pay
In Minnesota, the salary for a Tax Intern is $29 per hour.
