About the role

Tax Technology and Transformation offers services to companies in response to the impact of existing and emerging technology, including the growing data burden that many businesses face. The goal is to drive efficiencies to create a cost-effective tax function and understand how to make data an asset. This involves helping businesses navigate the digital age of tax transparency alongside new trends in tax compliance and audit methods.

Responsibilities

  • Support and automate internal and external operations of multinational tax departments using SAP
  • Define data and reporting needs for a tax department
  • Manage large, multidisciplinary projects that impact tax (e.g., ERP implementations, tax co-sourcing engagements, finance transformations)
  • Implement third-party direct or indirect tax systems such as ONESOURCE, Corptax, Vertex, Avalara, Longview, etc.
  • Work on large finance and tax transformations

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in information systems or a master's degree in Accounting, Tax Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • A minimum of three years of related experience
  • An approved technical certification, CPA license, or membership to state Bar, or progress to attain those mentioned

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in technology and its use in business processes
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills
  • A demonstrated ability to successfully sell and deliver large enterprise programs
  • A broad understanding of tax accounting and major tax processes
  • A willingness to travel as needed, and work in a balanced hybrid environment

Benefits

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $102,500 to $187,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,900 to $213,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

Pay

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $102,500 to $187,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,900 to $213,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

Schedule

Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
