Tax Supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex federal, state, and international tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
• Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and provide well-supported recommendations and solutions to clients and internal stakeholders
• Afford assistance in responding to inquiries and correspondence from tax authorities, including drafting letters and supporting documentation and communicating with IRS personnel
• Afford assistance in setting direction of engagement and begin to monitor and budget time incurred
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to articulate tax-related concepts clearly and effectively
• Show strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations
• Show strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
• Show experience supervising, training, developing, and reviewing the work of associates and senior associates

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in Accounting
• Active CPA license or actively pursuing certification
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience in individual, corporate, and pass-through taxation
• Expertise in individual, corporate, and pass-through taxation
• Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g, CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Show experience developing tax planning strategies for clients
• Show experience supervising, training, developing, and reviewing the work of staff and interns
