Tax Staff - Public
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, corporate, and business tax returns accurately and on schedule.
- Review client financial records to organize information needed for complete and compliant tax filings.
- Maintain bookkeeping records for assigned clients, including routine account updates and transaction posting.
- Aid in client accounting tasks by reconciling accounts and keeping financial data current.
- Utilize CCH ProSystem software to complete tax preparation work efficiently and consistently.
- Communicate with internal team members and clients to clarify financial details, resolve discrepancies, and gather missing documentation.
Requirements
- Experience preparing individual tax returns in a public accounting or similar detail-focused environment.
- Working knowledge of corporate and business tax return preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tax preparation processes.
- Hands-on experience with CCH ProSystem or CCH ProSystem Fx.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping practices and basic client accounting support.
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects effectively.
