Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare U.S. federal income tax returns (Form 1120)
- Prepare book-to-tax adjustments and M-1/M-3 reconciliations
- Calculate taxable income and support deductions and credits
- Prepare estimated tax calculations and extensions
- Maintain audit-ready workpapers within tax software
- Prepare multi-state income and franchise tax returns using tax software
- Assist with apportionment calculations and nexus determinations
- Prepare state modifications and track NOLs and credits
- Ensure consistency of state data across systems
- Assist with Forms 1118, 5471, 5472, 8858
- Support FTC, E&P, Subpart F, and GILTI calculations
- Clock foreign entity data collection
- Tax Provision Support (ASC 740)
- Prepare return-to-provision adjustments
- Assist with current and deferred tax calculations
- Support ETR analysis and documentation
- Use ONESOURCE, Corptax, Alteryx for compliance and analytics
- Extract and validate data from ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Assist in automation and process improvements
- Maintain data integrity across tax systems
- Assist with audits and IDR responses
- Compile documentation supporting tax positions
- Maintain audit trackers
- Identify efficiency improvements and automation opportunities
- Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and IT
- Support data governance initiatives
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred
- Experience: 5– 10 years in federal/state tax compliance
- Technical Skills: ASC 740, tax software, ERP systems, Excel
- Core Competencies: Analytical skills, attention to detail, communication
