About the role

The Tax Specialist will oversee fiscal operations for companies in the RINA North America Region, focusing on tax management, planning, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Tax Management and Compliance: Lead tax planning and compliance efforts, track filings, liaise with HR, review notices, and monitor tax laws.
  • Tax Planning and Optimization: Identify tax opportunities, advise on mergers and acquisitions, and draft tax schedules.
  • Tax Planning and Optimization: Support corporate tax function, analyze tax implications of strategic initiatives, and prepare tax documentation.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts; analyze financial data and trends; and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on tax laws and regulations; analyze tax issues related to specific transactions, investments, or business operations.
  • Financial Reporting: Calculate tax provisions, gather data for tax analysis, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Communication and Coordination: Liaise with internal departments, external advisors, and tax authorities; communicate tax requirements, deadlines, and updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics
  • 5+ years’ experience in finance, accounting, fiscal sector, and tax optimization initiatives
  • Strong understanding of management control principles, including performance measurement, cost accounting, and process optimization
  • Proven ability to drive change and implement process improvements within a complex organizational environment
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus on strategic initiatives
  • Project management skills, including leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
  • Adaptability and resilience in navigating organizational dynamics and driving change in a dynamic business environment
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, BI, Tableau)

Pay

$80,000 - $110,000 commensurate with experience and education
