Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate tax audits for partnerships and small businesses.
- Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, trusts, and estates.
- Provide tax planning and consulting to our clients, advising on strategies to minimize their tax liabilities.
- Aid in business development activities, such as identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations, as well as potential changes that may affect our clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax data.
- Identify areas of risk and provide solutions to mitigate those risks.
- Aid in training and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a related field is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services for partnerships and small businesses.
- Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations related to partnerships, individuals, trusts, and estates.
- Proven track record of managing complex tax projects and delivering high-quality results within deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying current in the field of taxation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
