Tax Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing

Job Summary

The Tax Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing advises clients on transfer pricing implications, recommends actions, and ensures compliance with regulations. This role involves marketing, business development, and representing clients in tax disputes.

Job Duties

• Completes financial analysis for intercompany transactions and evaluates industry and client financial data.
• Identifies research needs and frames issues for investigation.
• Determines project scope, budgets, and timelines; drafts and presents presentations to clients.
• Affirms clients' compliance with transfer pricing requirements and conducts year-end reviews.
• Applies IRS and OECD guidelines, ensuring tax engagement letters are adopted before work begins.
• Manages engagements to meet metrics, schedules tasks, and reviews work product.
• Represents clients in tax authority disputes and consults with senior professionals.
• Develops and implements transfer pricing methods, prepares reports, and analyzes client data.
• Applies transfer pricing in tax provisions and reviews tax provisions related to transfer pricing.
• Collaborates with Assurance professionals to plan tax accrual reviews and communicates with external audiences.
• Prepares and delivers presentations, creates training materials, and drafts tax alerts.
• Uses tax research databases and software in completing tasks; knowledge of statistical packages is preferred.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field, required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Eight or more years of prior experience, required.
• Prior experience supervising professionals on projects, required.
• Prior experience with tax provisions and transfer pricing, preferred.
• Prior experience with transfer pricing regulations and OECD guidelines, preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Knowledge of tax research databases and/or tax-related software, beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills, especially for meeting project deadlines.
• Ability to manage a team of tax professionals and delegate work assignments.
• Strong networking and business development skills.
• Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Capable of encouraging a team environment and contributing to the professional development of assigned personnel.
• Executive presence and ability to act as a primary contact on assigned engagements.
• Effective interaction with professionals at all levels.
• Research skills and the ability to communicate or compose written analyses effectively.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel.
