About the Role

The Tax Senior Manager is a personal tax specialist and advisor responsible for managing client relationships and tax engagements for high net worth individuals and business owners. This role is based in one of our Northeast Ohio offices: Cleveland, Akron, or Wooster.

The Tax Senior Manager will be highly experienced in individual, fiduciary, and gift tax compliance and planning, with a strong preference for experience in International Tax Planning and Compliance for individuals. The role involves managing multiple client engagements, supervising managers and senior staff, and ensuring timely completion of client deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and tax engagements for high net worth individuals and business owners.
  • Oversee individual, fiduciary, and gift tax compliance and planning.
  • Handle International Tax Planning and Compliance for individuals (preferred).
  • Supervise and mentor managers and senior staff.
  • Ensure timely completion of client deliverables.
  • Assume responsibility for larger and more complex client assignments.
  • Engage in business development activities.
  • Conduct tax research and apply flow-through entity taxation rules.

Requirements

  • CPA certification.
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • Leadership skills to manage and mentor teams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of tax preparation and tax planning software, Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), and basic operating systems.

Pay

Base compensation for this role typically ranges between $130,000 and $170,000, with additional discretionary year-end bonuses.
