About the Role
The Tax Senior Manager is a personal tax specialist and advisor responsible for managing client relationships and tax engagements for high net worth individuals and business owners. This role is based in one of our Northeast Ohio offices: Cleveland, Akron, or Wooster.
The Tax Senior Manager will be highly experienced in individual, fiduciary, and gift tax compliance and planning, with a strong preference for experience in International Tax Planning and Compliance for individuals. The role involves managing multiple client engagements, supervising managers and senior staff, and ensuring timely completion of client deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships and tax engagements for high net worth individuals and business owners.
- Oversee individual, fiduciary, and gift tax compliance and planning, including international tax planning where applicable.
- Supervise and mentor managers and senior staff on client engagements.
- Ensure timely completion of client deliverables and manage larger, more complex assignments.
- Conduct tax research and apply knowledge of flow-through entity taxation rules.
- Engage in business development activities to grow the client base.
- Utilize tax preparation and planning software, Microsoft Office programs, and other relevant tools.
Requirements
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven leadership skills to manage and mentor teams.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of tax preparation and planning software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), and basic operating systems.
- Experience in International Tax Planning and Compliance for individuals is highly desired.

Pay
Base compensation for this role typically ranges between $130,000 and $170,000, with discretionary year-end bonuses to supplement the compensation package.
