A Day in the Life

  • Interpreting and reviewing various legal documents in relation to estate and business succession planning.
  • Technical research on individual, trust and estate planning and compliance matters for clients.
  • Aiding individual clients who may have varying levels of tax and estate planning knowledge.
  • Assessing the tax situation of the individual, their trusts, and their estate from multiple perspectives to maximize tax benefits.
  • Implementing the planning process to create plans based on cash flow projections, income distribution, business succession, estate preservation, and estate plan flow.
  • Managing client relationships by proactively seeking solutions that enhance the client experience.
  • Aiding in the preparation of marketing materials and internal/external webinar training presentations.
  • Preparing and reviewing individual, gift, estate, and fiduciary tax returns.
  • Coordinating with staff to ensure tax returns are completed accurately and submitted on time according to firm processes.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to staff members.
  • Participating in business development activities.
  • Collaborating with the firm’s Wealth Transition Services team on various projects.

Who You Are

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, an active CPA license, law degree, or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
  • Have 7+ years of experience in public accounting, particularly with high-net-worth individual clients and their advisors.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Show expertise in individual income tax and estate tax planning.
  • Might have experience with flow-through entities and private foundations.
  • Are a multi-tasking master capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Have experience developing business and networking.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation range: $150,000 - $190,000.
