About the Role
The Tax Senior Manager is responsible for most tax services within an engagement, including managing multiple engagements simultaneously, building and maintaining client relationships, and handling billing and collection. This role provides leadership, direction, and coordination of resources and personnel to ensure client satisfaction in the planning and execution of tax engagements. The Tax Senior Manager also plays a key role in the development, coaching, and supervision of subordinates, as well as participating in firm growth and management.
Incumbents possess industry and technical expertise in accounting and tax theory and principles, strong research and analytical abilities, and demonstrate proficiency in non-technical areas while seeking opportunities to expand learning.
Responsibilities
- Manage tax services across multiple engagements running simultaneously.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Oversee billing and collection processes.
- Provide leadership, direction, and coordination of resources and personnel to ensure client satisfaction.
- Develop, coach, and supervise subordinates.
- Participate in firm growth and management initiatives.
- Apply industry and technical expertise in accounting and tax theory and principles.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.
- Demonstrate project management and business development skills.
Requirements
- CPA certification.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of operating systems.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of related experience.
- Advanced degree preferred.

Pay
Base compensation for this role typically ranges between $130,000 and $170,000, with additional discretionary year-end bonuses to supplement the compensation package.
