Tax Senior Manager
Essential Functions And Primary Duties
- Manage complex tax engagements, advise clients on tax planning and compliance matters, supervise and mentor staff, and contribute to business development efforts.
- Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert within the business unit and share knowledge.
- Make recommendations on internal department procedures.
- Identify business opportunities for clients and for CBIZ.
- Assume significant client responsibility as a trusted advisor, rely on for knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to clients and team.
- Manage staff on engagement deliverables such as financial statements, tax returns, work papers, etc.; complete technical and strategic reviews as a member of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met.
- Develop new client relationships in partnership with upper management; participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development and meet individual cross-servicing goals.
- Bill and realize on assigned clients; develop overall engagement budgets, explain variances.
- Understand client's Qualified Plan needs (as applicable).
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff; listen and communicate effectively.
- Develop responsible, trained staff by conducting performance feedback and evaluations.
- Drive a team environment; demonstrate support of management decisions and build a positive culture.
