We are a well-established, highly profitable regional CPA firm seeking an experienced Tax Senior with Estate and Trust Tax expertise to join our growing tax practice. Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns with an emphasis on:
- Estates
- Trusts
- Fiduciary entities
- High-net-worth individuals
- Assist with tax planning strategies for estate, trust, and individual clients.
- Conduct technical tax research and resolve complex tax issues.
- Prepare responses to tax notices and assist with governmental tax examinations.
- Deliver exceptional client service while managing multiple engagements and meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with managers and partners on complex tax matters and planning opportunities.
- Review work prepared by junior staff and provide constructive feedback.
- Mentor and train staff accountants while supporting their professional development.
- Stay current on tax legislation and regulations affecting estate, trust, and fiduciary taxation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
- Required experience preparing estate and trust (fiduciary) tax returns.
- Experience with high-net-worth individual tax returns is a plus.
- CPA license preferred (or progress toward CPA certification is a plus).
- Previous experience reviewing staff work or mentoring junior accountants preferred.
- Strong technical tax research and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and client service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
