Responsibilities
- Review individual and non-individual tax returns
- Prepare, review, and audit tax provisions for public and private companies’ reporting under ASC 740
- Review Federal and State tax returns and work papers for midsized to large C corporations
- Assist the entire Tax practice in resolving day-to-day tax issues
- Communicate with federal and state tax authorities as needed
- Research complex tax issues
- Assist in tax planning
- Mentor and train staff
- Contribute to business development
Requirements
- 3–4 years of tax experience at a public accounting firm
- Master’s degree in Taxation
- CPA strongly preferred
- Experience with tax provisions for public and private companies’ reporting under ASC 740
- Experience with Federal and State tax returns and work papers for midsized to large C corporations
- Strong team player with a commitment to high-quality, detailed work
- Ability to manage client relationships and demonstrate “executive presence”
Preferred Qualifications
- Self-starter able to handle multiple priorities
- Passion for client service and strong communication skills
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Willingness to work periodic overtime
