Tax Senior

We are a well-established, full-service accounting and consulting firm headquartered in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The firm provides tax, accounting, audit, advisory, valuation, and wealth management services to individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout Chicagoland. We are looking for a Tax Senior to work directly with clients while gaining exposure to complex tax compliance, planning, and consulting engagements across a variety of industries. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join its Elk Grove Village team. This individual will be responsible for preparing and reviewing a variety of federal and state tax returns, assisting with tax planning and research, managing client engagements, and working closely with managers and partners to deliver high-quality service. Responsibilities -Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, S corporations, and corporations -Assist with tax planning, research, and consulting projects -Manage multiple client engagements and meet established deadlines -Review tax workpapers and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness -Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, questions, and deliverables -Identify tax issues and research potential solutions -Assist managers and partners with complex tax engagements and special projects -Develop strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted point of contact -Mentor and provide guidance to staff accountants and less experienced team members -Stay current on changes to federal and state tax laws and regulations -Participate in firm initiatives and business-development opportunities Qualifications -Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field -3+ years of current public accounting experience -CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification -Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation -Experience with professional tax software -Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with QuickBooks -Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills -Excellent written and verbal communication abilities -Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a deadline-driven environment -Strong client-service and relationship-building skills Why Us? -Established Chicagoland CPA and advisory firm -Exposure to a broad range of tax and consulting engagements -Collaborative environment with opportunities for professional development -Direct client interaction and opportunities to take ownership of engagements -Opportunity to work alongside experienced tax, accounting, audit, and advisory professionals -Career growth within a full-service accounting organizationBenefitsCompetitive base salaryBonusesMedical, dental, visionEmployer-funded HRA accountShort-term and long-term disability401(K)Profit Sharing planFlexible work schedulingTuition reimbursement programCompany events (tax season party, holiday party, and more!)Much more!
