Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and nonprofit organizations.
- Manage multiple tax engagements from planning through completion while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Research tax issues and prepare clear, well-supported tax memorandums.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations to clients and partners.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing responsive, high-quality service.
- Mentor and review the work of junior staff, providing guidance and technical support.
- Assist with IRS and state tax notices, examinations, and correspondence.
- Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and industry developments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred.
- 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary taxation.
- Experience with tax preparation and research software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
